Count Down

As with the beginning of any grand adventure there is a lot of excitement and anticipation about the future, but the time dwindles til the big day, a bit of regret begins to seep in. Nothing big, just the usual... "wish we'd taken the time to do this or that," "should've enjoyed _____ while we had the chance," type thing.
-Please excuse me while I go put the kiddo back in bed for the billionth time tonight-
Back. Tired.
Anyway, today was mine and Audrey's last Saturday here together (next Sat she'll be in McDonough) so I decided we should take advantage of the pretty leaves and the lovely Kennesaw Mountain. Plus, it's high time Audrey learns to hike. :)

 "Cheese"
She really liked to sit on random rocks.
 Cuteness!
We made it to the top! It was windy, thus Audrey's face- she wasn't really that distraught about the whole ordeal. Promise.

It was about a 2 hour "adventure" from the overflow lot on Old 41 to the top of the mountain and back. Audrey did wonderfully! She hiked the whole way up and ran at least half the way down the road. The other half I carried her and consoled her tiredness with the promise of picking up pizza on the way home. We stopped at every noticed "fallen" tree in the forest for a moment of silence. Not kidding. My kid is going to be a tree hugger. Nix that, she's going to be an everything-hugger.

- FIRST DOWN OU! -

Ahem. Anyway, it was a lovely end to our Saturday and I'm hoping she's good and tired out.

By the way, T-10 days.

Not that anyone's counting.
